This property enjoys a quiet location within the grounds of the owner’s property on this former farm. There are miles of lovely country walks directly from the doorstep of the property, allowing guests to really make the most of the peace and tranquillity that is offered here. But, despite appearances, this property is not at all remote, or cut-off, and there is plenty to see and do within a ten-minute drive of the property, including the attractive harbour town of Bideford, with its collection of independent shops, the two-mile wide beach at Westward Ho!, and The Big Sheep family adventure park. As soon as guests arrive at this single-storey barn conversion property, they will immediately see just how much love and care has been put into making it a stylish and comfortable place to stay.

Come relax and enjoy good food in pleasant surroundings. The Mad Hatters is not your usual Garden Centre Restaurant. It is full of traditional charm with local memorabilia on display of the Braund Family that once resided just a stones throw away at Buck Mills.
The restaurant overlooks the lake that is fed by a babbling brook, which turns the water wheel on the mill house. Children are welcome to feed the fish under close supervision of an adult. The gardens surrounding the restaurant are full of interesting ideas and you will often see our staff out there busy tending to the plants.
At Lunch time you are guaranteed a real treat, our varied day time lunch time menu is supplemented by a daily specials menu that is available from 12pm until 2pm.
We aim to use locally produced food where ever possible, including local free range eggs, meats and cheese. We also aim to cater for any dietary requirements you may have, just make our waitresses aware when you place your order.
